During my time growing up, I spent many a night working through personal issues regarding family and friends, the majority of this poetry reflects various feelings I had at one point in time. Since these writings reflect a darker time in my life, they are darker in nature for the most part. I have since worked through these issues and am very happy in my life, however I still do write some poetry. Some of this newer poetry is brighter, some reflective of darker feelings. I have separated this poetry into 2 sections, one before I worked through things, one after. A story is usually contained within a poem. My method of writing is that of feeling a certain emotion and a need to convey that, the way I go about trying to convey that emotion is to make myself feel this emotion stronger than I do. This helps me to more accurately work out my feelings. I try to pick a story running through my mind and pick a specific point of view that will help convey that emotion. So enjoy and feel free to submit your own writings and to comment on mine.
Some of my writing can be considered poetry, some more along the lines of prose. In some of my earlier writings, I tried to keep along the lines of poetry. Soon I found that I could express myself better in some instances by mixing rhyme and chaos, as all life does not always seem to present itself rhythmically.
