Rain
A baby lies alone
Bathing in the sunlit sky
Crying, but growing
Every breath brings life
The baby starts to crawl
Then walk and run
But, still he cries
Sunlight beats upon his skin
The once green grass slowly fades to brown
And this boy looks to the sky
Blue eternity stares back and pierces his eyes
He turns away in fear
For what purpose does he serve?
The sky will still be blue
After he is gone
His skin is drier now
Sunlight scorches the land
Blue heat beats his heart to submission
The man cries in pain
A voice is heard far away
Clouds roll over him
Black, gray, and silver skies invade the summer day
The old man's skin craves water
But his soul needs the blue sky he feared
A single raindrop falls
He lies in the dirt
Fearful of the cleansing
The drop nears the ground
An old man is dying
Clouds watch over with their cloaks full spread
As their dagger falls
The rain drop greets a parched old man
And the baby cries once more
